End of Day 4 Word Count 1 Reply

We had a write-in, but there was so much goofing off that I didn't get to 1000 words there. But when I came home, I had a great session, and got to 9031, a total of 2445 words on the day. Looking for…

End of Day 2 Word Count! 1 Reply

I hit 5025 at 11:49 PM and decided to pause in order to get my number up on the NaNo website. That's 1993 words on the day, averaging just over 2500 per day. I don't think I'll be able to maintain an…

End of Day 3 Word Count! 2 Replies

At this point, I'm tired, grumpy and dissatisfied with some of the writing I've done. Thank Gods that this is just an excercise! Up to 6,068 at the end of Day 3. Day 1 Day 2 Day 3

What's Your Book Called? 4 Replies

Anyone got their titles yet? I do, thanks to the RPMN chat (they helped me name my main character): Dirk Maverick and the Sky Pirates of Atlantis. What about you?

So, moving into 2010, I need to get back to working on my project. This cold snap we've been having in the US will go into the backstory, as it fits right in. And the novel takes place next month -- I really ought to get moving!

50021, or 50015 if you believe the validator's count. And this time I reached the end of the story, too! Next up: editing, at a leisurely pace. My hands hurt. Six for six!

Boo. Ya. After barely getting to write at all this week, and then struggling to get the motivation to write this week, I went to a regional knock-off of the Night of Writing Dangerously, and shot ahead. 40k.

Didn't get to write yesterday, thought I wouldn't get to write today/yesterday, but I did. Got more than 2000 words, I think, so that puts me at 1000 words behind the actual count (plus, NaNo adds some words to mine, like 200ish). Discovered that 30 minute word sprints are too long for me. Gonna go sleepy-bye now.

I'm still in the fight, but I'm lagging behind. I had about three or four days of no activity, and then a 4500 word burst yesterday. I might add some more this morning (3 AM), and there's a write-in this evening. My laptop's power supply died, but I'm hoping to replace that today.

Haven't gotten to write since Monday, but wrote 1,900 words in less than an hour - closer to about half an hour. Tomorrow, my goal is 25,000. For now, sleepy time.

I'm up to 15015 at what's technically the start of day 8, and I intend to add quite a bit more after I sleep. I got 2470 words early this morning, and I'd like to get the daily total up to 5000.

Figured I'd just keep updating here rather than spamming threads. 11525 as of the end of Day 5, for me. I need a big day to get ahead, but I'm grinding down a bit. Need to figure out how to make it cool and fun again so the words come easy.

One of my rl NaNo buddies just turned me on to http://writeordie.drwicked.com/ and thought I'd spread the word! It works really well when you need to buckle down and really crank something out.
